If you are having a hard time taking that first leap to starting a business or if you need some motivation this is the best book to get you started.

This website has a ton of good information and resources. It covers topics such as accounting, management, marketing, entrepreneurship. It gives a description of each concept and then goes into depth just enough to give you a good idea of what it takes to put the concept into action. This is a good resource for beginning and advanced business professionals.

#3 SCORE.ORG
This website has a ton of advice from previous executives. The information applies to small businesses and large businesses. The most beneficial part of this website is that you can ask executives specific questions about your business and they will give you advice. They also have a newsletter that gives great advice for your business.

#4 Entrepreneur.com
This website is setup specifically for small business. The ideas are directed towards business that are starting up or just have a few employees. There are a lot of books out there on business and all of them have some great ideas in them.
Some of my favorite books are:

• E-Myth revisited
• 4-hour workweek
• The sales bible
• How to make millions in your small business

These are some great books that will give you some ideas on how to organize and get your business started. You will definitely want to try to find a book that gives you advice on the business you want to start. If it is a brand new idea then look for a book on something close to it.

Conclusion
Educating yourself on business topics should be a ongoing activity. There have been many people that have experienced the same problems as you and are willing to share their experience. This will help you stay ahead of the competition.

How to create good blog articles

5 tips for creating good blog articles

1. Is your article valuable ?
Before you write any article you should ask yourself if your viewer would find your article valuable to them. If you have a business blog, is the article business related? If you want to place a article about yourself you would want to place it on a seperate blog.

2. Is your article simple and clear?
Re-read your article 3-5 times and make sure that every sentence is clear and easy to understand. A good way to do this is to ask a friend to read over the article as well. Also make sure that there aren't any large words that your audience might not understand.

3. Keep your article short.
Your article should be between 500-700 words or 1 to 2 pages long. This helps you keep the your article simple and clear, but it also keep your readers attention. Readers will only read an article for 2-3 minutes per article.

4. Is your article easy to scan?
The best way to make your article easy to scan is to make sure you have a main title that describes the article. You would then want to have a subtitle for each idea. If you have a list make sure that it is bulleted so that it's easy to read over.

5. Do your ideas relate to the topic?
When you read the article ask yourself if each of your sentences and ideas relate back to the main topic of the article. Don't get off topic it will confuse your audience and hurt the clarity of your message.

Conclusion
These tips will help you create articles that people want to read.

How to get your business started right

5 tips for getting your business started in the right direction

1. Talk to a local accountant
Go to a local accountant and find out what forms and liscense you need for the city you live in. Also they will help you with paying taxes. They aren't too expensive and can save you a lot of money in the long run. Accountants run from 50 to 75 an hour and most will charge you in 15 minute increments. One hour should be all you need to run through the basics.

2. Start selling today
Before you have the product get out there and sell it. If you can't sell it then you may find that you have a bad product. Also look for some sales education (I will be adding one soon). If you do get the sale then let them know the product is still being developed tell them when you plan on having it completed and then get it to them. If you don't have a customer you don't have a business.

3.Plan for growth
What is going to happen when you no longer can service all your customers? Decide now before that time comes and you will save yourself a lot of stress. A few options are hiring employees, hiring a consultant, give some business to your compeition, or you may even decide to franchise. Each have their disadvantages and advantages but do some research and decide now.

4.Write a 1 page business plan
On one piece of paper write down what makes your business different and better then other business. How will you compete in your market? Write down how you will market your product. Guess how much money you will need and what you will use it on. Also guess how much you plan on making in sales and then work hard to get the sales to that point. Writing these things will give your company direction. If you want to make a detailed plan go to bplan.com and use the free plan as a template for creating your business plan. The main reason to create a more detailed plan is if you feel you would benefit from writing more details or if you are planning on presenting to investors.

5.Set Goals
Set goals for 5 years, 1 year, 1 month, 1 week, and today. These goals should all be directly related to achieving your 5 year goal, if it's not then create a new goal that will lead to completing your long-term goal. You need to make sure these are written down, then each day you need to evaluate the days goals. I would recommend on a weekly basis re-evaluating your long-term goals and making sure that your company still wants to go that direction.

Conclusion
These steps will get you on your way to becoming a business success.
